Luna are custom-made cables utilising Neo-Vintage (LCNV) tinned copper conductors that are made to unique specifications, manufactured in vintage braiding equipment that produces conductors just as they were made long ago, before the age of plastics. These LCNV conductors are used throughout the range from Gris to Noir.

From dying the cotton sheaths, braiding the conductors, to assembling all the finishing touches, each cable is assembled by the designer Danny Labrecque himself. This ensures the highest standard for quality performance.

Luna Cables – Mauve 

Specifications:

Luna Mauve RCA and XLR interconnect cables are comprised of two special 20 gauge tinned copper conductors with a dielectric comprised of paper, cotton and varnish.  A braided tinned copper shielding is used to restrict electromagnetic and radio frequency interactions. Available with RCA, BNC, XLR, and DIN connectors. Available lengths  0.5/1.0/1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0m then at 1.0m increments.

Luna Mauve speaker cable is comprised of three hand-braided 18 gauge signature LCNV waxed cotton dielectric tinned copper conductors for a total of 13 gauge per polarity. This speaker cable is also an excellent choice for subwoofers and is available with banana, spade, and SpeakON connectors. Jumper cables are also available with banana or spade connectors. Available lengths – 1.0/1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0/3.5/4.0/4.5/5.0m and then in 1.0m increments. Jumper cables (4 total per set) are also available with spade or banana connectors – 0.3m length.

Luna Mauve USB cable is comprised of four special 20 gauge tinned copper conductors with a dielectric comprised of paper, cotton, and varnish. Both the signal and voltage pairs of conductors are twisted and shielded from each other. A supplemental layer of braided tinned copper is applied over the whole in order to restrict electromagnetic and radio frequency interactions, protecting the fragile digital signal. Unlike other USB cables on the market, our connectors are soldered by hand for a better contact and performance.  Available with A, B, and C type connectors. Available lengths – 1.0/1.5/2.0m.

Luna Mauve Digital RCA/BNC cable is comprised of two 20 gauge signature LCNV waxed cotton dielectric tinned copper conductors.  A braided tinned copper shielding is used to restrict electromagnetic and radio frequency interactions, protecting the fragile digital signal. Luna Mauve Ethernet cable is comprised of eight 22 gauge signature LCNV waxed cotton dielectric tinned copper conductors, chosen for their performance and long-term durability. Four twisted pairs are individually shielded with braided tinned copper before a supplemental layer of braided tinned copper is applied over the whole in order to restrict electromagnetic and radio frequency interactions, protecting the fragile digital signal. Unlike other ethernet cables on the market, our connectors are soldered by hand for a better contact and performance. Available lengths – 1.0/1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0/3.5/4.0/4.5/5.0m and then in 1.0m increments.

Luna Mauve AC power cable is comprised of 12 gauge tin-plated copper conductors, chosen for their long term electrical stability, while providing sonic focus. The rubberised dielectric absorbs micro vibrations to control resonance while minimising electromagnetic interactions.  Dielectric paper envelops a rubberised material chosen for its absorption qualities. A tinned copper braided shielding is also used to restrict electromagnetic and radio frequency interactions. The outer insulation is also rubberised.

Cryogenically treated Wattgate connectors, a step above the standard used for Grey and Orange, are selected to ensure a reliable and secure connection. The Mauve power cable distinguishes itself from the Orange because of its larger gauge and a substantially thicker insulation throughout. Schuko or USA NEMA available. Available lengths 1.0/1.5/2.0m then at 1.0m increments.

Luna Cables – Red

Specifications:

Luna Red speaker cable is comprised of a combination of six braided 18 gauge and two interwoven 22 gauge signature LCNV waxed cotton dielectric tinned copper conductors, for a total of 13 gauge per polarity. A braided tinned copper shielding is used to restrict electromagnetic and radio frequency interactions. Finally, the hand-engraved anodised aluminium modules are installed for stability at the crucial split to the positive and negative contact points.  Each cable is then terminated with cryogenically-treated low-mass rhodium plated banana and/or spade connectors for ease of signal transfer. 

Available lengths – 1.0/1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0/3.5/4.0/4.5/5.0m and then in 1.0m increments. Jumper cables (4 total per set) are also available with spade or banana connectors – 0.3m length.

Luna Red digital RCA/BNC cable is comprised of four 22 gauge signature LCNV waxed cotton dielectric tinned copper conductors and two cotton and oil dielectric 26 gauge solid silver conductors. The Luna Rouge AES/EBU cable is comprised of three 22 gauge signature LCNV waxed cotton dielectric tinned copper conductors, three cotton and oil dielectric 26 gauge solid silver conductors, and two 22 gauge signature LCNV waxed cotton dielectric tinned copper conductor are used for the neutral connection. A braided tinned copper shielding is used to restrict electromagnetic and radio frequency interactions, protecting the fragile digital signal. Available lengths  0.5/1.0/1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0m then at 1.0m increments.

Luna Red USB cable treats the signal and DC power communications differently.  The signal section is made with eight single strands of oil impregnated cotton dielectric 26 gauge solid silver conductors, four per polarity.  A supplemental layer of cotton is applied to each signal quartet before they are twisted.  The DC voltage section uses two 18 gauge signature LCNV waxed cotton dielectric tinned copper conductors. Both the signal and voltage pairs of conductors are twisted and shielded from each other. A supplemental layer of braided tinned copper is applied over the whole in order to restrict electromagnetic and radio frequency interactions, protecting the fragile digital signal. Unlike other USB cables on the market, our connectors are soldered by hand for a better contact and performance. Available with A and B type connectors. Available lengths – 1.0/1.5/2.0m.

Luna Red power cable is comprised of a new rubberised dielectric and insulation material with maximum absorption properties for ultimate resonance control. It also ensures the cable is supple and ergonomic. For sturdy connectivity Luna use 315 strands of LCNV tinned copper conductors for a total of ten gauges per polarity. The power cable is also double-shielded with tinned copper jackets to restrict electromagnetic fields and other frequencies from interfering with the audio components. Finally Luna use rhodium AC plugs for the best possible contact.

Luna Black speaker cable is comprised of twelve braided 18 gauge and four interwoven 22 gauge signature LCNV waxed cotton dielectric tinned copper conductors, for a total of 10 gauge per polarity. These cables are braided by hand to control for resonance and minimise interference. A braided tinned copper shielding is then applied to restrict electromagnetic and radio frequency interactions.  Finally, the hand-engraved anodised aluminium modules are used for greater stability at the crucial split to the positive and negative contact points.  Each cable is then terminated with cryogenically-treated low-mass rhodium plated banana and/or spade connectors for ease of signal transfer.
