AIM Electronics are an award wining cable manufacturer from Japan. They offer high quality digital cables including USB, Ethernet and HDMI.

AIM specialise in high quality shielding and materials for their cables. During our experiments with digital cables over the years we have found that shielding has a significant impact on digital cable performance, and that quality over quantity is a key consideration. This is where AIM are specialists.

The implementation of Asahi Kasei Corporation’s Electromagnetic Interference suppression sheet ‘PULSHUT MU’ and a newly developed Electromagnetic Interference absorbing material made of ferrite sheath ‘TOMY’ makes these cables stand out from the competition in our opinion.

USB Cables:

The flagship model from AIM is the UA3 pure silver cable.

• Utilises a pure silver solid core conductor for the signal line and exhibits high level data transmission characteristics with an optimised conductor size of AWG24.
• The separate power line uses pure oxygen-free copper of AWG20.
• Achieves outstanding Electromagnetic Interference reduction with Asahi Kasei Corporation’s PULSHUT MU and a design that brings the most out of the material characteristics.
• Arranges PULSHUT sheath and aluminium and copper braided shielding for each line reducing electromagnetic interference between the lines with a double-sheath, quad-shield structure.
• Adopts an SP separate flat structure measuring 8.0 x 4.5 mm that creates the optimal management of distance between the signal and power lines.
• Continues the shielding through to the connectors with a copper and gold coated shell shield inside the connector and copper plated shield on the outside.
• Available lengths 0.5m, 1.0m, 1.5m, 2.0m, and 3.0m.
• USB 2.0 standard plug type A-B and finished in black.

The high performance model is the UA1 silver plated OFC copper.

• Adopts an SP separate flat structure measuring 8.0 x 4.5 mm that creates the optimal management of distance between the signal and power lines.
• Utilises a hybrid conductor of oxygen-free copper coated with silver.
• Achieves outstanding Electromagnetic Interference reduction with Asahi Kasei Corporation’s PULSHUT MU with aluminium and copper braided shields.
• Continues the shielding through to the connectors with a shell shield inside the connector.
• Available lengths 0.5m, 1.0m, 1.5m, 2.0m, 3.0m and 5.0m.
• USB 2.0 standard plug type A-B and finished in black.

Ethernet Cables:

The flagship model from AIM is the NA7 (Shieldio) and has won awards in 2017, 2018, 2019 & 2020.

• Utilises Asahi Kasei Corporation’s electromagnetic interference suppression sheet PULSHUT MU for each twisted pair cable.
• Employs a newly developed electromagnetic interference absorbing material made of ferrite sheath TOMY for cable sheath.
• Comprises a high purity OFC solid core conductor of maximum specification AWG22 to ensure ultra high speed performance at 40 Gbps.
• Foamed double sheath conductor coating.
• Telegartner 8P8C modular RJ45 connectors.
• Compliant with the CAT 7 standard and developed to pursue the limits of sound quality.
• 10mm o/d in black finish.
• Available lengths 0.5m, 1.0m, 1.5m, 2.0m, and 3.0m.

The high performance model is the NA5.

• Utilises the electromagnetic interference absorbing material (ferrite sheath TOMY) in the cable sheath.
• Noise control covering a wide bandwidth by the use of a high performance aluminium shield.
• Compliant with the CAT 7 standard.
• Telegartner 8P8C modular RJ45 connectors.
• 9mm o/d in purple finish.
• Available lengths 0.5m, 1.0m, 1.5m, 2.0m, 3.0m and 5.0m.

The entry level model is the NA2.

• Highly cost effective construction for both quality and sound performance.
• Equipped with a cross frame design also utilised in the flagship model.
• Highly developed electromagnetic interference control with aluminium and high density copper braid with symmetric drain wire.
• Compliant with the CAT 6 standard.
• 7mm o/d in blue finish.
